The copper stainless steel bearing material HLS20 is a stainless steel-based bearing material characterized by the inclusion of copper. During axial movement, trace amounts of copper precipitate on the surface, serving the role of oil, making it a groundbreaking oil-less bearing material that reduces friction heat. Moreover, it is more cost-effective than phosphor bronze while enhancing performance, making it a very user-friendly material. With the cooperation of a bearing manufacturer, a wear test was conducted for 17 days with 5 million reciprocations using SUJ2 for the shaft and HLS20 for the bearing, resulting in a maximum temperature difference of +3°C.
